FT/IR-6X

User-replaceable components and full automation make it possible to perform spectral measurements between 25,000 cm⁻¹ and 20 cm⁻¹ without touching the system. The FT/IR-6X spectrometer is compatible with various vacuum and configurable emission ports for conducting experiments outside the sample chamber, and is also compatible with a wide range of IR microscopes.

Wavelength Range
The standard spectrometer uses a Ge/KBr beam splitter with a KRS-5 window and a DLaTGS detector with a KRS-5 window, with a spectral range of 7,800 to 350 cm⁻¹. To change the spectral range between 25,000 and 10 cm⁻¹, a wide range of options are available, including a fully automated beam splitter and window change for unattended operation. With the widest range of material options, a broad spectral range can be covered using a minimum number of components, including a combination of new broadband beam splitter, window and detector materials; this covers the range from Mid Infrared to Far Infrared.

Nitrogen Purging and Vacuuming
A multi-zone N2 purging system is standard. This can be used to minimize interference from ambient gases and vapors (including CO2 and H2O elimination algorithms). Optionally, the interferometer, sample chamber and detector areas can be independently vacuumed in full or partial vacuum device (useful for rapid sample loading) to completely eliminate CO2 and H2O for the most sensitive sample measurements, and vacuum can be easily maintained as the movable mirror is not attached to the air bed.

Emission Ports and Light Input
The FT/IR-6X has a variety of options for optical ports with various window materials for measuring external light sources and black body devices.

Fast Scan
Optional Fast Scan offers spectral acquisition up to 20 Hz.

FT/IR-6X is controlled by Spectra Manager™ cross-platform software. Spectra Manager™ includes spectrum measurement, quick start, spectral comparison, and quantitative analysis as standard functions. Library searches and analyses can be performed with KnowItAll Informatics JASCO Edition.

The sample measurement screen can be customized according to user requirements, and customized screens and parameters can be saved for future use (User-Adaptive Software).
